The Seminole County Community Assistance Program.
This program provides foreclosure help in the form of one time grants, based on funds availability, to help residents pay for medical bills, utililies, rent or mortgage payments.
Seminole County S.H.I.P. Program.
Seminole County has a financial assistance program to assist homeowners in avoiding foreclosure. Seminole County will provide eligible homeowners with a one time payment of up to $5,000, in the form of a grant that is NOT subject to repayment or recapture.
The grant can be used by eligible homeowners to avoid foreclosure and retain their homes, to pay past due amounts owed for property taxes, home owner’s insurance or for assistance with closing costs. This strategy may also be used for assistance with closing costs associated with refinancing an adjustable mortgage to a new fixed rate mortgage.
